We chose to purchase a boat and agree with their financing offer which was you put half of the $67,000 down on the boat $33,500.00 and jungle float finances the other $33,500.00 We made are payments like clockwork All Summer Long. By the end of the summer we had paid at total of $43,000. Only owed $24,000 more on the boat. Of course we had no revenue in the winter and got a couple of payments behind They were very nice and cordial about working with us in paying what we could.
They were not demanding at all. Never sent an email, never sent a certified letter, no demanding phone calls anything like that. Little did we know their master plan was to come repossess the boat and immediately resell it. I had a relative living in the area of Hixson Pike Tennessee he had stopped by there and they had the boat for sale for $47,000, so as you can plainly see we only owed them $24,000. And they could double their money by coming and getting the boat and reselling it. After they came and repoed the boat they unlawfully sold it within 48 Hours of coming and getting it.
By law you have to send a Redemption letter and give the customer a 10-day window to pay the balance of the loan off they failed to do this. It was all about making a quick Buck for them obviously fraudulent. We also had problems with them on their warranty work our rope swing welding broke and our diving board broke. We also have railing missing, bolts and screws among other things. We had to pay a local welder to fix the rope swing it actually broke on Memorial Day weekend one of our busiest weekends.
