Chris Hampton, co-owner of Jungle Float aka Tarzan Boat, was working with us on a purchase of the boat that we planned on starting a business with. Shortly after placing the order and prior to our shipment arriving, we realized it would be nearly impossible to operate due to local coast guard and state pushback, in addition to lack of safe depth to operate the boat in areas that were protected from the open sea waters.

Chris Hampton informed us that he had another interested buyer that he would be able to sell the boat to and that he would work with us in refunding our payment. We agreed to his offer of a refund and he continued to sell the boat to the other party. However, once it was sold to the other party, he ended all communication with us and needless to say, we have not received any refund. We tried calling, texting, email, leaving messages with the receptionist at the office, and sent a letter of demand. Still no response.

2 years later, we are taking this matter up in court and now he is wanting FULL PAYMENT of the boat - that we never even took possession of! How does that even make since!?!?! TALK ABOUT A SCAM!!! If you are thinking about buying a boat to start a business, THINK LONG AND HARD if this is someone who you would trust doing business with. P.S. This is in no way related to the other report submitted on July 13, 2017. It goes to show Chris Hampton has no integrity and someone else has been a victim of his bad business practice.
