Juniper Bank ripoff huge interest rate "bait & switch" fraud scheme Philadelphia Pennsylvania

Juniper Bank initially offers a low interest rate and high credit limit to those who apply. I fell for this scheme only to find out that after the promo period ended and I had utilized the credit given me, Juniper Bank contacted me stating that my "credit debt", taking into account my other credit cards, was too high for my level of income. They automatically raised my interest to 20%.

I have a perfect record of paying all my bills and have never been late in my entire life (35 years of credit history)...My salary is in the 6-figure category. I own several small businesses. I called these crooks to complain about their tactics. It did no good. I found them to be arrogant and non-supportive. Obviously, this is a money-making scheme on their part.

I plan to report them to the Pennsylvania Bureau of Consumer Protection as well as Pennsylvania banking authorities asking them to investigate these fraudulent practices.

My advice to all is never, ever deal with Juniper Bank.

I am also a Juniper Bank customer and started my account under a similar promotion. The terms and conditions are clearly stated on the application form that you signed before receiving the credit card! You didn't fill out the application in haste and mail it in without reading the fine print, did you? Well it sounds to me like you did! Someone with a 6-figure income and extensive business knowledge should understand the importance of reading a simple contract before affixing one's signature. Furthermore, you should understand simple ways of getting out of this contract with Juniper - ie., transferring your balance to another credit card and closing your Juniper account. It is not rocket science, my friend!

And by the way, not reading the contract from the beginning and failing to understand the terms and conditions does not constitute a rip-off!! It is merely an ID-10-T error!!
