I took my own brake pads in for them to replace on my 2005 F-150. I was called back out to the store to inspect the front rotors. They did need replacing. Michael quoted me $308.00 per rotor, or $618.00 to replace the front rotors.

I declined the work due to a lack of funds. The store completed my brake job and I was on my way. I made a few phone calls that evening and found out that auto parts stores had the exact same rotors priced at $153.00 to $179.00 a piece.

O'Reilly Auto Parts were the lowest at $153.00, a mere $155.00 below the Just Brakes quote, per rotor. I understand the need to make a profit, but this is ridiculous. A qoute of $618.00 for two rotors that I can buy for $308.00.

When I called Michael back to discuss this, he hung up on me, almost immediately. He must be use to receiving this kind of phone call. This was the second time, and last, I will ever use Just Brakes. The first time was not any better, but I chalked it up to my old car. Not this time.

In my opinion, Just Brakes are crooks.

Do you have any idea what the markup is at the part stores? They vary between 300%-500% depending on the store itself, and the line of product being sold. Do you consider them to be ripping you off also?

Where do you work? Does your company make a profit? There is no law as to how much a company can mark up and resell a product. You are just an informed consumer not like half of the nitwits that get taken by Just Brakes. Be an educated consumer.
