I just got on your site and was reading Alisha's report about Just Brakes, and funny how my story pans out almost identical to hers.

I drive a 2000 Escort ZX2 with 38,000 miles on it. I have been having low pedal and squeaking problems with my breaks for about a week, and I finally found time to get it fixed. I took it to JUst Brakes based on their "$99.88 In Most Cases" claim (after being quoted almost 3 times that at the dealership) for my shoes and pads.

They have my car in the shop about 45 minutes and bring me in...the "explain" to me and show me what the problem is citing that just about every component in my brake system needs replaced at the cost of $450.00. I explained that I did not have the money to complete all the repairs at the time, but to go ahead and fix the leaking wheel cylinders as they are a safety hazard.

I drive my car away and it was STILL doing all the same things it was doing before. I took it to my local dealership to find out they replaced NONE of the brake components and charged me $128.00 to do absolutely NOTHING to my vehicle. (The dealership was able to identify the parts by serial numbers placed on the parts by the factory)

This all happened this morning and they have already heard from my lawyer. My car is still at the dealership awaiting a full inspection to determine the problem. Not only did they not fix the part, they fixed it without letting me know that this particular part may be covered under my warranty, which it is.

The dealership took pictures of it and it will be presented by my lawyer to Just Brakes so that I can get a refund.
