They machined one of my front rotors below specifications. Specs are 1.224 and they machined them to 1.205. This is a major safety issue. They scammed me and told me both wheel cylinders in rear were bad - they were not. They contaminated the brake fluid. Total bill was $866.40 and that was with an $89.87 discount. Now it is going to cost me $408.55 to fix their screw up!! They are not replacing my rotor or anything else.

Beware - Never Ever use this company. Your life might be put in jeopardy due to their work.

Gave me money

The ripoff was so bad and the safety issue so blatent that they gave me $328.22- not bad considering I figured they wouldn't give me anything. They charged me more than 150% markup on parts. $328.22 on an 866.40 bill that should have been less than $500.00. They are still rip-off artists and I will do my best to make sure people do not use them. I would love to sue them but the States Attorney does not do anything about this company that is headquartered in Dallas TX.

Just Brakes Actually made good

Went back to Just Brakes, acted like I didn't know what was wrong, had them inspect front brakes. Mechanic told me left rotor needed replacing because it was below OEM specifications and the right one was Just at the specs. I told him, ok, we need to talk to your supervisor.

Bottom line - I told him that they had machined my rotor below the specs and I wanted a new one. He immediately had a new one installed on the left with no problems. When I questioned the right one - I knew the original measurement and they should not have machined it down that far. He refused to replace it telling me that it was probably warped and they had to machine it down that far.

I figured I was lucky to at least get the one rotor replaced. It will now cost me over $150 to get a new right rotor & have ceramic brakes installed along with lubricating on the back ones where they should have serviced them. I will never go to Just Brakes again.
