David R. Brown and Deb Kuykendall:  what you should know before these two con you.

Deb is an excuse maker. She will claim she is working for you on behalf of you, yet she won't actually do anything except make excuses - this is our experience with this so-called "professional".  She lied to my wife in 2013 about our taxes and put us in a bad situation.  She also alleged she was working on our behalf to resolve a tax matter - she did nothing.  She lies and lies and makes excuses - it's a con job.  She'll ask for information she says she needs, "I need these xyz" etc.  It's just to buy them more time and excuses to keep the fraud going.

David R. Brown charged my company $15,000.00 upfront in November of 2015 to complete taxes for us, promising a turnaround of 30 days.  He stepped in to make a promise to complete these in 30 days.  Months went by, in fact it is March of 2016 and David R. Brown is avoiding our calls, and believes he can take the money and run.

I believe an IRS investigation should be done into the fraudulent business practices Deb Kuykendall and David R. Brown are conducting, from our experience. If they are willing to do these things out of pure negligence and conspiracy to defraud a client-trust relationship, acting as "professionals", they are certainly up to more.  If you have had your books and records kept with them or are currently doing business with these two experiencing similar lies and excuses, negligence and fraud, please know we are currently suing these two con-artists.  I suggest you do the same.

Out of fairness, I will add that David R. Brown sent a disk-drive that allegedly has all our files on it.

Whether or not the work is satisfactory, we will see.  We have also yet to receive our receipts and other documents. Needless to say, we won't be doing business with Just Digital SmartBooks or recommending them to anyone.

It's unfortunate that my wife had to contact their family members to get a response.  Once we threatened legal action and a lawsuit, we finally got some sort of response - albeit a very weak response, a mailer with a disk-drive in it.  Who knows what is on there, we will have to get quickbooks to open it.
