I would advise anybody looking for a web hosting company to steer very far away from Just Host.com They claim to have the best support system available, I assure you this is false. If you can even get someone to email you back that has a decent knowledge of the English language and can write with legible grammar, then you might want to buy a lottery ticket because you are very lucky. I, very ignorantly, have been with Just Host for a year and I am just now finally giving up on them. This is after numerous support issues that NOT ONE of their specialist were able to assist with, numerous unauthorized charges being billed directly to my credit card, and extended amounts of downtime resulting in loss of my customer base.
Now let me tell you about the last straw that has really set me off. I just got charged once again for something that I did not authorize. I am set up on a monthly plan of only $7.95. On 06/09/2010 they decided that they were going to take out $68.00 from my bank account. So as expected, I called to discuss this with them (I'm sorry EMAILED them, they will not discuss or offer support for anything over the phone). Which makes it very difficult because you have to send three emails just to get your point across because it appears as though they don't speak English fluently and will respond with answers to questions that you did not even ask. Anyway they said in response "I can confirm that this is for the renewal of the Search Engine Submission and also for your website as you are on a monthly account and these are renewed annually." First off, their "Search Engine Optimization" is a joke. They claim to submit you to all the popular search engines, I will tell you this is impossible and I never saw any search engine pick me up due to their submission. Big time search engines like Google will only find you after they crawl the web. Second off, how can I be on a monthly account and be renewed annually. Boy that makes a lot of sense. The bottom line is that I NEVER authorized an annual renewal of ANYTHING. They claim that I did. So I asked them to prove it, of course they couldn't . Anyway they refuse to refund any money and claim that they can't. Well lets skip back about a year ago when they ignorantly charged me for a feature called "Visitors 2 You". I emailed support about this issue and they corrected the charges, well kudos to you Just Host. looks like you just pick and choose which issues you want to correct. They claim to give you a domain free for life but then you have to renew it every year. What is the problem with that. Maybe I am the only one who sees it. On another not don't try to cancel for god sakes, they give you the run around and try to avoid canceling your service. I have ask to be cancelled now several times and they make you pull teeth to get it done. Best bet is to just stay away from this company, they suck.

To top it all off the scheduled renew date of the so called search engine submission that I purchased isn't until 06-19-10, so why is it being renewed on 06-09-10? Well they say that they charge it 7 days prior. Looks like if the renew date isn't until the 19th and you pay in advance the kind thing to do would just be to cancel it and not charge me, that is if you care about you customers more than their money.
