I ordered a jacket for my son on March 2. The wrong size jacket finally arrived on March 22. I called the customer service number a couple times and left my name and number as I was told. No one ever called me back.

I returned the jacket on March 25 along with a letter explaining the situation. The jacket was received by just-leather on March 29. No one ever responded to the return or my letter. On April 22 I sent an e-mail trying to get my money back. No one ever responded to the e-mail. on April 23 I discovered that there were 2 reports on Rip OFF about just-leather and I e-mailed one of them to just-leather.

Within about 5 minutes I got a call from someone who claimed to be one of the owners. This was a Friday and he told me that "first thing Monday morning" he would have my refund credited back to my credit card account. I have talked with customer service twice since then.

On May 6 they told me that my refund was sent to my credit card on May 4. It is now may 10 and the refund has not appeared.

These people have consistently ignored my customer service requests and they have either been lying or making promises that they have not kept. They have had my money for over 2 months and it appears that they plan to keep it. Needless to say, I would not recommend that anyone do business with just-leather.com.

My name is Kathryn Spivak. On September 1st, I ordered a "Dutchess Taylor" leather jacket. Three weeks later, I got an email saying the shipping would be delayed because they were "moving to a new state of the art facility." Finally on October 1st, I received a jacket. BUT NOT THE JACKET I ORDERED.

I immediately sent an email describing the problem and surprisingly got a response quickly, as it was a Saturday! I was assured they would "overnight the correct jacket on Monday," and "do everything in their power to satisfy me." Guess what? None of that has happened.

I talked to Mr. Sherman by phone on the 5th (I have caller ID and can prove he called) and he promised to have fedex pick-up the wrong coat.

Yesterday, October 13th, I sent an email threatening to return the jacket myself, contact the BBB, and dispute the payment on my credit card if I did not get a response the same day.

I DIDN'T. So today I find this website, and I looked into filing the BBB report. I also left YET another message to Mr. Sherman pleading to resolve this TODAY, without me having to take such action.

I mean, how much time does it take to call fedex? 3 minutes?

MR. SHERMAN, I am giving you this opportunity to correct the situation in a timely manner. when that happens, I will report on this website how you "did everything in your power to satified me."

I, like many of your other customers, am tired of your empty promises.

JUST SEND ME THE JACKET I ORDERED!

Here is my email address if anyone wants to contact me. I have emails,phone records through my provider, and pictures of the wrong and right jacket: PROOF that everything I'm saying is 100% true.

Everyone is being handled if there was an issue.

The Just-Leather.com is nothing new for Mr. Sherman. Just do a search and the results of his gift-catalogue.com days are apparent. We all need to file with the following agencies. This guy is a one man operation. Also do a dun and bradstreet report. This guy owes more people money then Enron.

We need to protect Internet shoppers from people like sherman. Goodness know what he does with our credit card numbers at a later date, I doubt his sites are very secure. Do a charge back ASAP and get a new credit card number issued.

Just-leather continues to lie

I just read the rebuttal from Matthew Sherman from just-leather in which he claims that just-leather not only authorized a refund on my credit card but that they also sent me a refund check and a replacement jacket free of charge. Let me set the record straight. I was told on a couple of occasions this past spring that a refund was credited to my credit card. To this date that refund has never appeared on my credit card statement. My inquiries to just-leather about that were ignored. I made a complaint to the Better Business Bureau in Trenton. On approximately May 28 just-leather told me and the BBB that they had sent me a refund check. That alleged check has never arrived in the mail. When I inquired about the whereabouts of that check I was ignored except for being told that I could only contact them when the check actually arrived. I also made a complaint to the Monmouth County Department of Consumer Affairs which finally resulted in my receiving a refund in the form of a postal money order sometime in August. Mr. Sherman also claims that just- leather sent me a jacket free of charge. I have not received any such jacket. So the rebuttal is wrong when it says I received a refund through my credit card. It is wrong when it says they sent me a refund check. They actually lied to me and the BBB about that check and only sent a postal money order when the department of Consumer Affairs got after them. And they are wrong about sending me a free jacket. And then after ignoring my numerous phone calls and e-mails over the past several months, Mr. Sherman has the gall to end his rebuttal by telling me that I should contact him if I dispute the claim. Mr. Sherman, you are a piece of work.

Hello,

This is for Chris. We not only returned your funds back to you via credit card but we issued you a check as well as the jacket for your inconvenience. We sent the correct size but it did not fit your child which we apologize for but is not our fault. When you sent the jacket back, we sent another replacement. That did not fit. We than sent you the refund check and the return authroization to your credit card as well as the jacket free of charge.

We feel this complaint is wrong. We would appreciate a call on this matter if you dispute this claim.
