I paid 23.70 or so for a years service, a good deal, then they promoted "Add this you your order, "Faster service only 1.95!", SPECIAL, 50% off, and then
"Get a dedicated IP, only 2.95!". They charged me about $70.00, without telling me the addons were going to be multiplied to add up to a years worth of service.
After that happened, I thought, well, that isn't so bad, but what I didn't like was that they billed me three different times, when I was supposed to be ADDING the addons to the order. I became suspicious because I don't like to be treated like that, even when it's a good deal.
If they were honest, I would have kept the bargain. But then I test them by cancelling. They offer 50% off the 23.70 charge for the year. I'm tempted, but remind myself, this just does not sound right. So I click on, NO, just cancel my account. They CLAIM, I haven't received it yet, I'll get a refund for 23.70. I write them back stating, they owe me for the other two charges, totalling around or over $40.00. They say, SORRY, we are UNABLE to refund any ADDON's because of the SETUP cost they incur.
HMMM. Their ad does not mention, and waives SETUP costs. It also GUARANTEES a full 100% money back guarantee, ANYTIME guarantee.
I did a same day cancellation, or within 24 hours. They did not live up to that, and I have it in an email, that they will not live up to their guarantee. The email states what I've stated above, only the 23.70 will be refunded, not the addons which they admit they charged, but they claimed they were UNABLE to refund, because of setup fees never mentioned.
I never set up the hosting with them. Never transferred my domain over. I am grateful I didn't because I am sure they would have found a way to keep that, I've had other hosts do that to, I think it was 1and1.com, but I am not sure. Something to that tune anyways.
