Justin Hurlburt
Justin Hurlburt of Gilbert AZ set up home cleaning service with our company. He did a complete 180 in attitude when I called at the 2 hour point (for a crew of 3) to alert him to what remained of his cleaning and the cost involved. When I told him he was at $120.00 with 40% of his home remaining to be cleaned, he became outraged, angrily said "You mean to tell me that's all they cleaned? I could clean that much myself in 1 hour, we are finished."... and started to demean the entire job. ... Here's the thing. While we can literally furnish hundreds of excellent references and will be more than happy to do so, a few times a year we run into a customer with unrealistic expectations and who views the cleanliness of their place contrary to how most people see it. In other words, their place can be covered in dust, dog hair & general "grunge" and while they honestly believe it can be cleaned 1 hour, the reality is, it may take 3 or 4 hours. ... This percepetion thing is a problem that, after 6 years in the business, I still haven't found a simple solution for. While most customers are realistic in their expectaions on a home cleaning and their perception of the cleanliness of their home... a very small percentage are very unrealistic and don't see the details that most do. An even smaller percentage become belligerent when given the facts as was the case with Mr Hurlburt. He was very nice through several communications and quite the opposite when alerted to the actual condtion of his home and the fair cost involved (his house was EXTREMELY dusty according to the 3 ladies on his cleaning crew). ... I would not recommend doing business with Mr Justin Hurlburt in any form or fashion. If you do... fasten your seat belts because when things don't go his way he can be RUDE, CRUDE, ARROGANT, CONDESCENTING showing strong sociopathic and narcissistic qualities. Steer clear of this customer friends.

In September of this year, Justin Hurlburt hired me to repair his garage door. When we first spoke I found him to be very cooperative, inquisitive, and pleasant to work with. I arrived to meet Justin at his home in Gilbert, and his demeanor was exactly as it was before. We talked about the bad economy and other small talk. Normally, my clients just want the work done and could care less exactly how it gets fixed, however Justin offered to help, and asked many questions throughout the repair. I found him very easy to work with, very hospitable (offering water and soda).
It's important to note that after my arrival Justin and I agreed on $140.00 for me to complete the repair. Just did pay me (in cash) $140.00. (Remember, he did assist me in the repair) Since I/we repaired his garage, he has referred me to two people who I also completed a repair.
I find it hard to believe such an experience with Justin could be had, as I have nothing bad to say about him. Just his kind referrals implies he trusted my ability to complete the job, offered a fair price, and was easy to work with.
I'm confident had his housecleaning experience had been similar to mine, he would definitely referred your company to his friends or colleagues.

Just my opinion but, Mr Hurlburt responded extremely fast and with a very defensive rebuttal. It sounds by his response that he thinks he does no wrong. The way he tries to build himself up while tearing down the maid service. Hmmm. I don't know about sociopathic but, he acts like a narcissist. They are always me, me, me and think they can do no wrong and are always right.
I looked around and Mr Hurlburt seems eager to undermine the cleaning service. He talks about libel? He's done exactly the same thing. I dunno Justin. You should let it rest. Just my opinion.

If you intend upong working with Maid 2 Kleen, I would tell you to consider this. Have you ever asked for a steak to be sent back at a restaraunt that was too well done for your taste? Returned aproduct tothe store because it was faulty or not up to your standards? Maybe called and spoken to your bank about a charge that seemed out of the ordinary? These are all regular occurences for most people in the country. Not something that is usually greeted with angry words, spiteful itterances or distasteful remarks. These are typically welcomed by organizations with a smile; Organizations that understand the importance to taking care of their clients and the significance of word of mouth. I would urge you to consider these thoughts when thinking about working with Jim and Maid 2 Kleen....
If you read my original posting or some of the others regarding Maid 2 Kleen house cleaning in Phoenix, you will find that the guy running the company, Jim Scheu,has treated clients like this in the past.
I find it interesting that he states a bunch of negative facts about me, bordering on libel, all because I questioned the quantity of work that had been completed during his company's employ. I also wonder what credibility Jim has as a psychologist, owning a maid service,when he refers to my behavior as sociopathic and narcissictic... quite odd.
