When i rented this trailer house i was told by the landlord that there were several things that were going to be fixed during my lease. There some things that were replaced and repaired not in a timely fashion but they were repaired.

About the fourth month of renting i contacted Mr. Parish about buying the property. He seemed to be interested in selling but was lacking infinding a price and finding the title. I did tell him that when he did finally come up with a price to keep in mind the condition of the property and that regaurdless of the sale that there were several things that needed to be repaired from a tenants stand point.From the day that i moved in i told him about the shower that the floor needed to be replaced and a new shower installed.

When Mr. Parish decided to give me a price i told him it was to much and that i needed him to fix the shower. He was more interested in passing the task to me as a potential buyer than fixing the shower for his tenant.

Eight months went by and i "just had enough" i went out to find a new place to live. As i was moving out he decided to come in while i was moving out and fix the shower. we did have a discussion about this and he told me he would give me back my deposit. But i have yet to recieve a phone call from or an e-mail. I no he has the resources to find me, i recall i was late on my rent and he called me at work , emailed me, called my cell phone. came to my workplace and threatened my wife. So I know he is very resourceful.

In a nut shell I'm puzzled, was it that he wasn't able to pass the responsibilities to a potential buyer, the acts of a slum lord, or just not able to have resources to do the job. I have come up with an equation to problem.

10 months rent @575.00= 5750.00

10 months with an unstable leaking shower (shower is atleast 20%of the house) =1150.00

deposit =600.00
total 1750.00

Did my "slumlord" make enough money to fix the shower sure he did but not untill i was gone

Did my "slumlord make enough money to give what is owed yes but not paid yet.
