Complaint Review: Justina Meade

In April of 2014 I was assigned Justina Meade as my home health care worker. I am a disabled woman suffering from severe anxiety & depression. Prior to having Justina as my intensive in home health care worker I was doing well & had always been satisfied with the services of the providor she is employed by. I had been a client/patient there for 4 full years without incident. 

Justina did not meet her responsibilities with me. She left me stranded, caused me to miss appointments, tried to pressure me with her religious & political opinions almost nonstop & expressed extreme disdain for people using welfare. All the while talking to ME, her patient who happens to be on welfare. The fact that I had a better paying job with a more reputable company than she does or ever will prior to my disabilty did not deter her from constantly insulting me. 

While grocery shopping I purchased a margarita mixer & she wrote in a report that I was an alcoholic. I have NO history or drug or alcohol abuse but after I complained on her for the medicaid fraud, she suddenly began to gossip with her other clients & co wokers about me. She also called me & texted me harassing messages. I know it was her because she was the only person who would call my home on a 'private' number.

She repeatedly cancelled appointments but still billed for them. She also asked me to sign blank forms before she filled in the hours. I made a complaint on her & she recieved a reprimand from her employer. After that she tried to write negative & outright false progress reports on my & continued to use LORIS to access my medical information. Apparently she is allowed to do this, however she had no good reason to do it & it should be obvious to all that she only did it because I made the complaint. 

I am presently contacting Medicaid about her fraud & will update this site when I get a direct answer about what they're going to do. 

I want to also point out that Justina manifests many symptoms of mental illness herself, she is hugely overweight so obviously has self esteem & food addiction problems. Furthermore, she's very defiant, oppositional & stubborn to the point of it likely being ODD. She is obsessed with dogs & is a hoarder of dogs, since she has more than the county she lives in will allow. 

While I was in the car with her she constantly talked on the phone about mentally ill people, especially an in law that she was seeking a restraining order against. My entire take on the conversation was that she hates mentally ill people, is biased against them & was definitely encouraging other members of her family to gang up & seek criminal charges against this woman in her extended family. 

I don't think she's qualified to work in the medical field in any way, shape or form. She is abusive when she speaks to you, loud & inflexible. Her size is alson an issue. When we went to my doctor's appointements she would always sit in the car & I think it was because she was too large to fit in the chairs. She was supposed to go with me & leaving me on my own itself is a medicaid fraud issue because she's not allowed to bill for the time she cannot see me. 

This woman literally never got out of her car once, except when I became emotional at the DSS office & to go out & get her off the phone to come help me. 

Anyone who has to work with her should BEWARE that she is abusive. After I filed my complaint she began to harass me & say nasty things about me to other clients & her co workers & I know it to be true because one time I heard her & the other clients I know from using this service for years. 

In the full 4 years I never had any conflict with the workers there, EVER! I never had one negative report much less had someone who is supposed to be a professional healthcare worker slander me & attempt to interfere with my only source of income.
