On 03/31, K&B brought me to Sioux City to go to work for them-supposedly everything had been cleared and I was ready to roll.

When I arrived, they had me take a physical first, and on that form it asks if you have ever been injured-it doesn't ask if on the job, just if you have an injury. I marked that I had injured my knee in 2003, it had been repaired through surgery. The doctor even cleared my physical, but when I returned to the office, I was told that they could not hire me based on the injury, and they were putting me on the bus back home. That would not have been a big deal-but here is what is:

The driver dropped me off at the station, with no cash and no ticket. I called Sean, the "Director of Recruiting", and was told on the second call that I had to find my own way home. Essentially, this left me stuck in Sioux City with no money, and no way home. I have been staying in a hotel, courtesy of a friend who helped me out, while I look for other work, but that cannot last forever.

Thanks, K&B-you're a real bunch of stand-up guys-NOT!!!

I have tried everything I can to get the state involved in what happens at K&B-let's see if I get any results.

Be Warned-not a good place to work for!!!

#2UPDATE EX-employee responds

I had drove for them a few years back and when I had moved out of state they made an agreement with me that I could park my truck at a secure location and that they would give me enough driver unloads to help with the cost of flying home for my home time.

After being out for 22 days straight they only got me 1 driver unload and that was only enough to pay for a greyhound bus ticket one way and I had to go over my hours just to make the bus because it only had 1 every 24 hrs going back to my home.

After that fiasco I had e-mailed my dispatcher that It wasn't going to work out and that I was cleaning my truck out over the weekend they promptly claimed that I had abandoned my equipment and that I had not given them notice.
