K&b Transportation rip offs, dishonest, cheaters S Sioux City Nebraska
i worked for k&b. as of right now i am turning in my truck. they have done nothing but lied, cheat and steal. they ran me over my hours and they are hell bent on me getting a cell phone and when i do they will not help on the bill. my paychecks have come up short and deductions have been taken out when i call up and ask about them they tell me to talk to accounting. which i do and they say to call back on monday.
i ran a load from ottawa illinois to cleveland ohio, i had already been up for 20 hours i told my dispatcher i couldn't do it they refused to get the load relayed or rescheduled so i ran it,
well i started feeling tired and i was nodding off at the wheel. i pulled into a service plaza on the ohio turnpike i layed down and went to sleep i was awoken by a pounding on my sleeper. i looked out my window and there stood 3 ohio state troopers who took me into custody because someone in dispatch reported reported the load being stolen.
i explained what had happened and showed them the qualcomm and my log book they seen i was telling the truth and they let me go and they informed me to tell dispatch that it is not their job to wake up a driver who is sleeping bcause he felt unsafe to drive.
i was recently in denver colorado i have a tri pac apu on the new truck they assigned me, i was in denver it got down to 15 degrees the heat didnt work i told night dispatch anmd they said to get ahold of julie in the morning, well they wouldnt get me a hotel room that night, julie got me into thermo king in denver they said they needed to put a high altitude kit on it since mine was only good for 0 to 5000 feet. but they couldnt do it til the next day.
it was dark when i left thermo king, i told night dispatch and they informed me that i had to be in holcomb kansas by morning i asked thenm for a hotel room to keep warm they said no and huing up on me. so i had to try to sleep in a cold truck for a second night. they have these tri pacs rigged so u can not idle the truck for any longer than 20 minutes. i only got 4 hours of sleep in 48 hours.
i went to the truck stop in garden city, kansas and went to sleep. they sent another driver over to my truck and woke me up. i am stuck at home and cant get out of my driveway because we have a 1/2 inch of ice on the ground i live out in the country on a gravel road 2 miles from any paved road. i inform them i cant get out and ross said they'd send a person out to pull me out.
i am bobtailing(no trailer) and i do not feel safe driving on ice because you cant get traction.i tell them that and they threaten to take 100 dollars out of my pay because i wont leave and i cant leave because i cant get out of my driveway. i find it funny that they will try to tell you to drive when its unsafe and very icy or that they will send someone to pull you out but they wont get the heater on the tri pac fixxed and i gotta try to sleep in cold weather.
i am suppose to be getting paid .34cpm but oly getting .30 i told them about it several times and they said they'd get it fixxed but haven't. i live in south central iowa where it is nothing but 2 lane highways. since when does dispatch or ross try to dictate someones safety when they dont feel safe to drive.
for anyone considering on working for this company do not work for them, they will make it sound great then once you get in they treat you like dirt and have you run illegal and they dont want to reimburse for tolls, scales, lumpers. they also short you on miles.

I have ever heard of.
I research trucking companies and evaluate them, and as bad as it can get out here, K&B Transportation has generated some of the worst horror stories that can be found.
This is about the fifth complaint I have read of a driver who by all appearances simply went as far as he could go after having been pushed to the limits, testifying of being woken up by law enforcement in the manner this poster describes.
SaferSystem justifies this complaint as well. K&B has horrible safety numbers and has been deemed to not be managing their safety stats diligently. One of their closed enforcement cases involves 31 cases of falsified logs.
The Sioux City metroplex must have some really bad water. The complaints described in regard to this company sound much like another company located in the same general area that went belly up in the early nineties, Direct Transit, Inc.
I've been wondering for quite some time if some of those who ran that company wound up with this one. The modus operandi is uncanny.
Whatever the case, I highly recommend that people avoid this company like the plague.

i left my house with a 1/2 inch of ice on the ground. i was dispatched on a load going to denver colorado. i picked up said load and delivered to colorado. i was then told to deadhead to lexington, nebraska to pick up a load going to minnesota for friday morning. well i was told to come by the terminal and i tried to get my money off my comdata card but they blocked the card so i knew something was up. well i went up to dispatch office and derek in logs said it was my last day, well i was told to go talk to sean in recruiting and they had a copy of the report i filed on here i was terminated because i filed a report on here about them. they cussed at me and threatened to get me for slander and mike r said if i ever want to drive truck again that i better get my posting off of here. The last i knew slander was if you wasnt telling the truth but everything i have said is the truth they told me i am lucky ross isnt there. they are nothing but crooks and thieves. they must be so worried people are telling the truth on them, that is why they hang this site constantly. they still even have my property up there the stuff i couldnt get packed. sean told me i was in the top 25% of their driver well d**n i'd hate to see what they do to the top 5%. If anyone is thinking of going to them dont.
