Complaint Review: k9 kennel store

Ordered one of their Kennel castles. Paid $3500 to get what was advertised as a large breed dog kennel. What I recevied was a total piece of crap with no instructions.

The nightmare started with the shipping. They charged me over $400 to ship from Utah to Colorado. I am only 230 miles from them!!!! Then the shipper could not deliver to the house and instructed me to go to the terminal. When I showed up to the terminal they had no way to load it on my trailer. I had to go get a forklift myself and load it on my trailer. Thank God I had a buddy with a shop close by who helped me out.

Then the nightmare continued when I finally got the kennel home and unpacked it. There was NO instructions what so ever. I know that sounds silly no instructions for a simple kennel but if your looking at one of these kennel castles you know what I mean. There is a lot of parts and pieces to them. I went on their website and found their instructions. Unfortunaely the instructions they have posted are as worthless as their customer service.

So I put together what I could and it was fairly simple for the most part but does take some time to figure out what goes where and which way the panels face and so on. All this was time that could have been saved by some simple instructions and pictures.

As I was putting it together it became painfully clear my nightmare was not over. The manufacturing on this product is some of the worst I have ever found. NOTHING Lines up or fits properly. The real problem came when I tried to put together the porch for the dog house. Nothing fit right, the support bars have wierd ends that can go 3 different ways and none make sense. No matter how we put them together the bars would not support any weight whatsoever. Even with my 8 year old daughter simply pushing with her hand the floor would bow to the point a dogs paw would easily slip into the fence and become stuck. Obviously very dangerous!!!

So I made a call to k9 kennel store hoping I was just missing a support bar or something. I asked if they had any instructions or pics of this part of the assembly so I could know if I was missing something. They instructed me to email them some pics and then they would get back with me. No help was offered at all at this point. I emailed pics to their email address and it came back as address didnt exist. I went to their website and clicked directly on their email link and same thing. Email doesnt exist! Finally I called back and after she insulted me by asking if I spelled it correctly I had her email me so I could reply with pics. The email of course came from a totally different email.

After all this bs all they said was they had never had this issue. They said my ground was to unlevel for the bars to work properly. I told them the ground was perfectly level and the bars were not strong enough to span 8 feet and needed further support to handle a large breed dog. Their answer was "Those are the same bars we sell with all our kennels". It took over a week to even get that crappy response!!!!!

Bottom line: Save your money. This is NOT FOR A LARGE BREED DOG!!!! This product is a joke!!!!! Good idea with shitty chineese manufacturing!!!! No customer service!!!! They take your money and your on your own. If you buy this product you better be really handy and have lots of tools to modify and fix all the issues you will have.
