Hello drivers, I worked for Hurricane Express for exactly 4wks and I just got my 2nd and last check. It was for $58. and some change. My first deposit, which was FedEx-ed without my approval, was for $685. So for the 1 month I worked for them, I brought home a grand total of about $750. Since I was a lease purchase operator, I signed my lease agreement during orientation, they told me I should average the pay per mile @ $1.15 as we are supposed to get paid according to what the national fuel average is for that week. I ran my a** off for them and this is how they do me?!!! On my first settlement, they double dipped into my fuel expense, and my fiance @ the time, caught it cause my 2nd check was supposed to be for $3 and since it was so low, they decided to put all of my past 3 weeks worth of loads all on my final check. My fiance caught them double dipping into my fuel and said something about ripoffreport.com site (which Jason knows all about) and they fired me. It states in the papers that all of the Hurricane/Naedok trucks get DOT inspected @ the chicken houses A LOT! Well, gee, I wonder why? They want you to go from Nogales, AZ to the Bronx in about 2 days as a solo driver. (My fiance @ the time doesn't have her CDL). Dana states that they had to pay for their drug screen; I don't understand that. I didn't. Dana also wants drivers to email them, but doesn't leave an email address. I ran a lot of miles and only got paid chicken feed for doing it. I would like to know how to fight this company and get all our pay, the way we're supposed to, back. If anyone knows anything, or if we can all get together and file a class action lawsuit, we might be able to fight this company and put them out of business. Please email any suggestions to servantransport@yahoo.com. Please put in the subject line - RE:Hurricane Express Ripoff Report. I would appreciate any help in putting this company out of business!!!! P.S. I contacted the Arkansas Labor and they can't help if the company owes you more than $2k. So I was told to contact the US Department of Labor because I live in Alabama and went to work in Arkansas. If you live in Arkansas and Hurricane owes you more than the $2k, I'm not sure where to go for that.

I seem to find more comments against Hurricane Express every time I turn on my computer!! They are def crooks and need to be shut down! They owe me plenty of money and from what I can see plenty of others as well. Working for them you aren't even driving their trucks or yours as the "owner/operator" of their trucks because the trucks are leased from the dealers! So the dealers own those trucks not Hurricane! From beginning to end that company was a joke!
I was charged for my bus ticket to come out there even though that was their expense! Charged for my drug test, hotel room, even the first truck wash before I was EVEN an employee!!! A lot of those expenses they try to hide in double talk and paperwork that never matches!!
My second trip when I got close enough to go by the office they almost freaked out!! I was asked why was I there and to get off the lot right away!! Finally after asking several people I found out that they had COMPANY coming! The federal kind that they didn't want the drivers around! The safety director even wanted to REDO my logs so that I had more hours to run, illegal of course! They left me out for a month and a half before making the mistake of getting me too close to home and I got out!
I have so much that happened n wish someone was powerful enough to put them outta business! They give an already tough industry a bad name! I think its easy to see from other reports I've read that they don't know what they are doing and need to be shut down!! Too bad it seems that we are just lowly truckers who get what we deserve!!
Any info to help shut them down would be appreciated!!

I currently work at Hurricane/Naedok. Since I have been there it has been a positive experience.  I have great equipment to drive and I run legally.  As a matter of fact, in respect to the load I am currently under, they even asked me when I want to deliver it.  As with any trucking company, or any  job for that matter, there will be things you like about it and don't like.  Overall, I am enjoying my time here and plan on staying.  As far as you saying you didn't make any money... I don't really know your story (nor do I care) but I do know that I have only had one check under $1100 dollars for the week and it was $775...not too bad considering my best check was for $1895... and yes the check cashed.  As far as the office personnel, everyone has been friendly and even the owner Kaedon will take the time to discuss how you can make even more $$$ per week.  But you're not going to make as much if you're in every truck stop putting yourself behind schedule and then keeping your foot to the floor burning fuel trying to make up time. You are in a lease purchase...loosely translated...you are running YOUR own business.  You have to control your expenses...one of them being fuel.  Anyway, sorry you had a bad experience at Naedok. I've worked for companies where I had a bad experience.  I happy here. I run legal, make good money, the people are nice and great equipment to operate.  It's a good fit for me.
