This is not a personal issue, it is a state-wide issue in California. State agencies have declined to address it and newspapers and senior groups appear afraid to address it due to potential loss of advertising revenue from Kaiser.

To wit, Kaiser Medicare Senior Advantage program charges $86 per month and $30 co-pay in Northern California and $0 per month and $15 co-pay in Southern California. No other Medicare/Senior health insurance provider in California has this gross difference. I wager few if any seniors in Nothern California know this. If an auto insurer set their rates at such a difference due to living in Northern or Southern California, they would be fined. Seniors need to be informed of this and to protest it to the California Insurance Commissioner.
