Kaiser Permanente Incompetent, Internet
In December of 2010 I was admitted to Kaiser's Fontana Hospital for surgery to remove a cyst/tumor. They were going to do a biopsy on the material removed to determine if it was cancerous and what treatment would be necessary going forward.
Two days after the operation I was told that they had been unable to do the biopsy because they had lost the specimen. The Surgeon assured me that he was 80% sure that the material was cancerous and that I would be treated/monitored accordingly.
Fortunately, I've just joined Medicare and can easily get away from Kaiser, I hope.
In response to another report on this company; they do have an Ombudsman, but he works totally for them and is in no way impartial.

This is a terrible organization. I took my gf to the ER yesterday and the doctors and nurses didn't have a clue what the other was doing or had done. The nurse didn't even know what she had already done a few minutes before, she brought in the same supplies again, I couldn't believe it.
Then, mid sentance, the doctor took a phone call on his mobile and never came back. I'm not a member and my gf is moving to PPO as soon as she can.
To top it off, I received a $353 parking ticket because there were only 4 spots near the ER, there was nowhere to park within a reasonable distance. So, I parked next to the handicapped spot. Seems there should be laws about having adequate parking near emergency room entrances.
