While in emergency, after one-and-a-half hours trying to find a human willing to say, "Okay, you have insurance, get help," help was acquired. But, no, it seems that Kaiser does not pay insurance . . . ever . . . and if you need help, you MUST go to a Kaiser facility, even if vacationing thousands of miles away. Their people are trained to be evasive and noncommital. Substantiating paper work goes unanswered and, well, you get the picture. Payables declares there is no coverage, while receivables receives thousands of dollars in premiums. You get the picture.

Had this happened once, but ten years ago, the same thing happened. For a trivial amount, Kaiser DOES NOT provide coverage. So, be warned . . . if you are with Kaiser and are traveling, you better have bucks in case somethings happens, because Kaiser is worthless.

Meanwhile, we received great care in Virginia and will pay out of pocket for the LIARS responsibility. May Kaiser go the way of Woolworth!

I Never Had A Problem With Kaiser

My mother belonged to Kaiser for several years and was became really ticked when she heard complaint's about HMOS.

When my mother died, I was left to take care of her final bills. Although she had been taken to a non-Kaiser hospital due to an emergency, Kaiser paid her bills without question.

I'VE NEVER HAD A PROBLEM

I got appendicitis while traveling in Georgia and had to have an emergency appendectomy at a non-Kaiser facility. They paid about 80% of my bill. My stepdaughter had an asthma attack and had to go emergently to a non-Kaiser facility and they paid all but about $75.00 for going out of plan. The only negative I can express about Kaiser is that it sometimes takes awhile to get an appointment with my Primary Care Physician, though I can usually be seen by one of her associates the same day. I would rather deal with Kaiser than Healthnet ANY DAY. If you REALLY want to have fun, try getting semi-emergent surgery scheduled when you have Pacificare. People b***h and moan about HMOs, but unfortunately, the same roadblocks are being put out by the so-called PPOs. In many ways, they are more restrictive than a HMO.
