Complaint Review: Kal Tire Deerfoot Meadows Calgary

I recently took my vehicle into Kal Tires, Deerfoot Meadows location in Calgary to have 2, 18" all season radials installed on my SUV. Alex the assistant manager advised me that the cost to complete this relatively minor task would be $100 + GST. When I challenged the cost, he stated that it was because the tires were 18. Reluctantly I left the vehicle at the Deerfoot Meadows location before making phone calls to 5 other Kal Tire stores in Calgary. Of the 5 contacted the most I was quoted to complete this work was $62 and the lowest was $55, all of which appeared to be acceptable and the industry norm.

When I returned to the Deerfoot Meadows location to question Alex regarding his price to complete the work, his response was that is what the price is, take it or leave it. Not being one to be bent over, I reclaimed my vehicle and went elsewhere.

All I can say from this experience is beware and do your home work, or be prepared to bring some K-Y with you to this location. On a scale of 1 -10, the Deerfoot Meadows customer service rates a solid 1.
