Complaint Review: Kandi Maltese - Gold Star Puppies

I did not post the original rebuttal. Therefore, do not appreciate the public internet attack by Kandi....  Yes, I did purchase a Kandi Dog from her and have issues with the breeder.... It seems that there are many others out there with issues regarding her breeding practices and business methods.  I wish I knew this before.  I for one would not purchase from her again....

My advice to others, do your research and make your decision based on that research.... 

This lady has had this beautiful, healthy puppy AND her pedigree for nearly 7 months now. We were friendly for this entire time and just one day she decided to wake up and flip out that her pedigree was not fancy enough for her. She claimed she was making her dog's scrapbook and wanted to know each and every dog in a 5 generation pedigree listed. When I couldn't tell her immediately about EACH and EVERY single dog in the pedigree, she completely lost it and started slandering me all over the web. I have even offered to take this puppy back and give her a COMPLETE refund. She will not do so and she is only interested in defaming my character completely and telling lies. When she placed the deposit for this puppy, I was always very honest with her and told her that I was new to showing and that my pedigrees were not that fancy and not champion sired or champion dam, but that I would run a complete blood panel/chem panel on her before she left my home at 12 weeks of age. She agreed and thanked me profusely for allowing her to place a deposit. She came to visit us when her puppy was 8 weeks old, after she had her first shots in her system. She and her husband played with the puppy, completely loved her and then came back when the puppy was 12 weeks old to pick her up from my home. Everything has gone great, the puppy is the love of her life she claims, completely beautiful, healthy, wonderful in every way. Everyone who sees her pictures or her wishes she were theirs. I have showed her my dogs. I did not take her in every room of my home because I have to be very careful with who enters my home and what rooms they go in with newborn puppies. They are very suseptable to diseases and when people come to your home for a puppy, you can never be sure where else they have been or what other breeders or pet shops or such they have visited. I have very few puppies per year and they are my babies. I have to be very cautious of their well being. Her insinuating that I in any way lied or mislead her, is an utter lie. Anyone who realizes this is 7 months after owning this perfect little puppy can realize that what she is saying is untrue. I welcome anyone who would like to come and visit my home to see how my dogs are loved and extremely well cared for. My home is immaculate. Also, stating that I'm a "suspected" puppy broker is an EXTREMELY slanderous statement.

Also stating that I do not give references is yet another slanderous statement. I have tons of references and anybody who would like some, feel free to contact me. I have customers who would be glad to not only speak with you, but invite you in their home to show you one of my beautiful, healthy babies.

Everyone is entitled to ask whatever they want for their puppies. I am in sync with other reputable show breeders in this area, I generally have a long waiting list for my puppies and am very selective of where I would place them no matter WHAT amount of money anyone has. I have people who are dying to get one of my babies. I have no problems placing them and this comment is just a rediculous statement that anyone who lives in the area can realize how silly this is. You can't force someone to pay a certain price now can you? So seriously, grow up. The amoutn of time and effort I put in to my babies speaks for itself. I always watch customers babies and take them back for grooming as well. I stand behind my dogs and they leave here nearly completely trained. I follow by the code of ethics set forth by my breed club and strive to produce only the nicest quality puppies. I have a wonderful veterinarian who my dogs love to visit and they do a great job and are also a wonderful resource of information.
