Katie Wells is selling "25 pounds pigs" ... well a few months old and approaching 60 pounds? What is she thinking? No concept of weight and size Worse, we paid thousands $$$ to save her from coccidia and another virus caused by her piglets wallowing in their own excrement. Someone needs to shut down her operation..if you've had similar issues with katie wells aka KJ micro mini pigs please let the public know!

False report!

#2REBUTTAL Owner of company

Fri, October 28, 2016

I am the registered breeder you are making the false allegations about. I am not sure who you are but you have also posted other false reports about me along with my personal pictures, name, home address and phone number on craigslist, which has caused me to feel unsafe. The police were notified!

If I actually did sell a mini pig to you, you were made very aware of how involved I am with each and every client of mine, even after the piglet goes home. If you had any concerns about the size of the pigs or how the pigs are kept, why did you continue to purchase one from me?

This is all highly untrue.

The claims about the conditions in which my pigs are kept are absolutely false. Have you ever even been out to see my place? The pigs get fresh hay/bedding weekly and fresh, clean water in their pools DAILY. None are skinny or malnourished and everyone sees the vet, who would be happy to write a statement regarding my pigs' health.

I have plenty of pictures to show the highly acceptable conditions my pigs are kept in and am willing to show anyone who questions it. I am a REGISTERED breeder with Mini Pig Breeders, Inc., and soon will be double registered, with the American Mini Pig Association as well. To become a registered breeder with each of those, several pictures of the pigs' housing and the pigs are required, along with a social media and website check to be sure I am following each organization's code of ethics. I would not be eligible to become a registered breeder if they did not approve of anything I do/have done.

Now for the false allegations regarding size. I have not ever estimated or guaranteed the weight of a piglet when full grown because it is simply not able to be determined by a breeder. Weight is not genetically determined but depends strictly on the diet and lifestyle you give your pig. I explain this to every single one of my clients and potential clients. I have always said that my pigs are about the size of a medium sized dog when full grown, but weigh 2-3x as much as a dog of the same height and length because of how dense and heavy pigs are. I have not claimed a 30 lb pig when full grown, not to mention I would not be allowed to be a registered breeder if I ever make weight claims.
