I purchased a 1 3/4k diamond ring bridal set on 2/12/09. The engagement ring product number is 080182722 and the "unmatched" wedding band's product number is 080181718. We have had problems with Kay Jewelers in Lafayette, Louisiana since the time I purchased the ring. My wife and I got married in December of 2009 and the diamond fell out of it twice since and has received another ring in replacement. They were very rude to us especially the manager, Mike. His assistant manager told us that 50 percent of the diamonds fall out. She also told me the ring I purchased everyone keeps bringing back because of the diamonds falling out. We asked them to have my rings soldered together and when they did, they did such a horrible job, we made them just unsolder it so we can sell it because of how poor of a quality ring it is. However, when we got it back a week after they told us it would be back, they lied to my wife and I and said they never told us that. When they returned the ring, it was still soldered... ?!? They said listen, this is a new ring so we promise nothing will happen to it. They said this and gave us our ring back on 2/11/10. Today 2/21/10, the diamond fell out again. My wife has not worn her ring but for two weeks since we have been married. I can't believe Kay Jewelers would not only treat us like trash, but give us poor quality rings knowing that they would fall apart. We are not the only complainers. I've researched all over the internet and found out through friends that this happens to them too. How pathetic can any jeweler be. This needs to stop happening to people. We paid $2500 for the rings. If we have known all of this would have happened, obviously we wouldn't have purchased the rings.
