Three months ago my husband of 3 years upgraded my wedding band.We also had our initials and anniversary lazer engraved inside my band. The work was done by Kay jewelers at the Lancaster mall.Today I went there to do some shopping .Mainly to get my ring cleaned and spend my bath and body gift card .I dropped off my ring , was gone 12-20 minutes at max.Come back to get my ring. The store manager claimed they didn't have it.I demanded mall security be called and I wanted to see the store security video, since it's a jewelry store they'd have it on video. As the store security arrived he changed his story to someone already picked it up.

By now I was screaming and called my husband at work. He arrived there moments before the Salem police did.Keep in mind I had all my paperwork with me. Then I see my ring in a small plastic bag on the back counter. The store manager said " that's another employees property" There was only him and the sales lady. Two people behind the sales counter .I yelled it's my ring. My husband demanded we see the ring. The police officer asked for the employee it belonged to.The manager said he didn't know who it was......The officer asked how many people work there. 5 but only the 2 of them were working today until later in the evening.

So my husband explained how inside are our initials and wedding date.We showed our proof of ownership with warranty. The officer grabbed the plastic bag opened it up and.It was my ring. After going over the video. He said he was 100% sure the manager was attempting to steal it.He then changed his story to .He had forgotten to clean it and was very busy and misplaced it.Even though the video showed I was the only person to come into the store .I called to complain to corporate .They told me."That as long as a employee doesn't walk out of the store with customers property it's not considered theft" If that doesn't scare you .I don't know what else will.I learned my lesson.Don't shop ever at this store.

My name is Anshar, I am the store manager at the Kay location this person is reporting. Not only is this claim completely made up (a police officer has only visited my store once in the five years I've been manager, and it was because of a grab and run), but we have no security cameras as this is an older store and customers fill out a chain of custody document when dropping items off, making this situation impossible. Don't believe everything you read on the Internet, folks.
