Complaint Review: Kay Jewelers - Sterling Jewelers

Kay Jewelers - Sterling Jewelers ripoff went in to replace a pin and watch was damage getting it back and did not honor their policy. AKRON OHIO

I had a pin replace from KAY JEWELERS at 2370 Fox Valley Center spaceb 630-236-0510 in Aurora at the FOX VALLY MALL in Aurora ILL. dba Sterling Jewelers in Akron,OH.330-668-5000 ext 5531

The watch was a gift from my girlfriend that was bought in March of 2002. In Nov of 2002 it was dropped of to have a pin put in of course they forgot to send it out. When we got closer to March we couldn't find the watch only to find out that Kay still had it and it was not sent out this is now March of 2003.

I signed a ticket that if the watch got damaged in transport that they will exercise their insurance and replace if damage.

I received the watch back but did not accept because the face where the pin goes in was damaged and it was very noticable. This was in around June; now they won't fix because the damage is severe and now they're claiming that it was damaged before I dropped it off.

I know as everbody knows Jewelers don't send anything out without marking any flaws with the Item.
