I gave my daughter my ring to send to repair a diamond fell out , without asking me or telling me the cost of the repair, the ring was repaired costing $500.00 dollars, at the time I was still making payments on the ring and could not afford to get it out. My daughter misplaced the repair ticket, and Kay's refuse to return the ring without the repair ticket. We were given the repair ticket # they refuse to trace the ring using the repair ticket #. I paid over 3,000 dollars for that ring, and I am sick that they are trying to keep it. Please can somebody help me get my ring,I have been to the Better Business , Attorney General, what else can I do?

Does't Make Sense

Been in the jewelry business 28+ years and what you have posted doesn't make sense OR you have left some parts out. "I gave my ring to my daughter to send to repair". IF your daughter took the ring in for repair, they would or should have called her depending on IF she asked for an estimate. The fact that you are still paying on the ring doesn't matter concerning the repair, though you might want to check and see if the diamond/repair just might be covered if you are still paying for it. Check into that. As for the repair ticket, Kay's isn't gonna return the ring to you IF your daughter took it in and it's under her name. In my years at zales and sears, enough folks tried to pick up their ex's jewelry even with the repair ticket under a different name. A few times,  we had scumbags who would try and pick up repairs that they or someone else had already picked up because the salesperson had forgotten to either get the claim check OR get the customer to sign the repair envelope. I'v had ONE person attempt it here in 17 years. Threw them out on their a*s. What is Kay's reasoning for not giving you or YOUR DAUGHTER the ring back? The $500 repair bill? How long has the ring been sitting at Kay's? Hey, they can always pull the stone out and give the ring back to your daughter. Have you called the district manager?
