Kays Kars, Kays Cars Took delivery of a car and the next day it caught on fire. Fremont, Michigan
My brother bought a car from Kays Kars in Fremont MI. It took a week to fix a small noise in the front end. On his way home he filled it up with gas. The next morning when he started it to go to work, the car caught on fire.
The dealer is using un-licensed mechanics to do repairs on his vehicles.
When he was contacted about the problem, he said it was my brothers car and he should call his insurance company to claim it. He said the "warranty" (engine and transmission) would not cover the problem.
Obviously something was done wrong when they were working on it. The dealer knows that it was something his "mechanic" did that caused the problem. He would not admit to that.
I understand the law. I know he has no other recourse, but an honest man would try to resolve the issue. He did not make an attempt.
I would not buy a car from this dealer! He does not stand behind his sales.
