Complaint Review: Kazaa Gold

Kazaa Gold (The Entire Operation) scam artists, virus givers, and not customer friendly. Nationwide Nationwide

I wanted to be able to download movies, and songs so that I could burn them onto cd's for my personal use. When I came across Kazaa I thought that this site is perfect. All I had to do is pay "ONE" payment for lifetime use. How much better could it have been. So I paid the $40, and proceeded to try and download movies, and music. I was not able to download any movies, and it was not allowing me to download and music either. After a week of dealing with the customer service I was finally able to download music but not movies. I asked for my money back, but they refused to do so. I have noticed too that ever since I downloaded the Kazaa program onto my computer that it has not worked right since. I resently had to take my tower to Bestbuy and pay $300 dollars to have it fixed because of viruses originating from Kazaa, but Kazaa will not respond to any of my emails about this, and now when I try to get Kazaa to work it won't. It keeps telling me that I need to pay $40 for lifetime access to that program, but why should I have to pay that when I already did? I feel that something should be done about this, because it isn't right.

My name is Sonia Thompson and I work for MyKazaaGold. I have searched through our records of support emails and purchases in the last few months. There is no record of any 'Lisa' from Corning New York. Further more, her main issue is that she can not download movies. Well, she's correct in that as MyKazaaGold does not provide movie downloads and nowhere on our website does it indicate such. We are a 'Music' Download Website. She was able to download music.

Our software is delivered without any adware, spyware or any virus at all. To assume that we would distribute our software with a virus is ridiculous. We provide both email and phone support to our customers. Why would we want to create problems such as giving someone a virus and then have to turn around and support that?

This person is obviously very confused and appears to have us mixed up with 'Kazaa', of which we have NO AFFILIATION whatsoever. Our support team's #1 goal is to get people downloading music. If for some reason they are unable to do so, then we provide a refund, no matter what.

"Lisa", (or any customer with an issue...) If you are reading this, please contact our support department at support@mykazaagold.com. We would love to have the opportunity to speak with you regarding your claims.

Thank you

Kazaa is a P2P site. More than likely you downloaded Limewire (which is free on the net) and you have been downloading stuff from other peoples computers. The is no legit site to pay one fee for unlimited downloads of movies and music. The sites like this one give you the software to connect to other people computers to download their shared folders. My understanding is this is actually illegal to do and you can be prosecuted. Plus as you found out you get a ton of viruses.

Legit websites to download from charge for each download. Do some research before signing up with any site. Get your songs and movies legally.
