Kearny Pearson Ford Misrepresented the function of an "add-on" electronic key. San Diego, California
On 3/29, I purchased a Kia Reo..I opted to pay for, by check for 856.00, an electronic key, as the car had only standard key (by the way, they had only one key for the car - stating they didn't know what happened to the other key, but they would replace it asap).
3 days later, when I called to make an appointment for the installation of the electronic key, they THEN informed me that the electronic key that I paid for could not be used in the ignition, I cancelled the electronic key and stated that I would like a refund. (If they had told me this initially, I would never have ordered the electronic key).
I was told that they would not send a refund, rather they would apply my money to the financed portion of the car. I told them that this was unacceptable and that I would insist on a full refund.
I also have not received the 2nd key for the door locks/ignition.
