Keen.com crazy making, foul, shady, set up, San Francisco California
I was an advisor on keen.com for 15 years. Things started getting shady recently. I have seen the complaints on rip off, and I'm adding mine. This company decided to put the screw to me by setting me up. BEWARE of this company. Someone got my password at keen.com and decided they were drafting over50.00 from my bank account. When I confronted CS on this, they forced me to close my listing which ended up being permanent. I was one of the good advisors. Willowmoon. They said my claim was invalid, and told me not to use their services anymore. I still have not received my pay, it's been almost a month. They said I signed up for monthly payment, a LIE. Then they told me today, that I would receive my 47.00 via direct deposit in increments, are you kidding. They are a heartless company who preys on people, advisors money. they take half of what you make. They refuse to release my intellectual property, articles I've written on blogs and after having a listing for 15 years, I cannot understand why they are treating me horrible. I have been back and forth with play fair, they will make you feel crazy, and there is no valid reason why they are doing this. You should read some of the BBB reports on them, and see what they did to some of their advisors, and clients, including causing overdrafts to bank accounts. I received calls from clients who got scammed by some of the psychics, being led on to meet with them personally, and after traveling and spending more money, the psychic was nowhere to be found. I felt so bad for some of the people who used to call me and tell me these stories, one of which I knew, she said how she needed to close her account with keen because of these frauds.
They converse with each other, so none of your information is private. One psychic I talked to for years, ended up blocking me after I made a major move to another city and rented my house. What she failed to tell me are the horrible events that would end up forcing me to move back. All that money spent, all that money wasted, hundreds of dollars wasted on an unnecessary move. As an advisor, you come to trust other advisors and use the service, most of these people do not hold the training involved to advise people, but you think, that they are channeling or angelic in some way, but they are just as heartless as anything I've ever seen. A few are good, but I'm telling you to watch it with most of them. One I called who ran 1.00/min special, she hung up on me, and raised her rate to 2.89/min, these people don't care about you, I hate that I was affiliated with such a nasty association, at a time when my calls were starting to pick up, these people fully intended on hurting me and my professional business. They are vindictive. I have gotten calls from clients, stating that their phone rang, but they never dialed keen, this is no accident either. Low, desperate attempt to get clients. I started seeing what other advisors were writing on the advisor forum, so keen suspended my forum use, they use a double standard, I guess I started putting two and two together and they didn't like it. I got some one star bashers, and even when I gave my best, but overall, I had very happy clients who called me over and over. I at least got to use my training and schooling, but now I see how abusive this company is. I truly hope that they are brought down. Keep on writing the complaints on rip off, eventually someone is going to do something about these greedy pigs.

"Willowmoon" your report from an "insider's view" is very informative and reinforces what many former Keen callers know to be true. Keen.com is a vampire - a big, lunking, digital vampire and ANYONE who put out a shingle on Keen is part of the problem, however innocently they/you may have approached your tenure there.
I am very sorry that you ended up on the "victim" end of the Keen.com dynamic. That does hurt. You share the hurt from having been betrayed and horribly used for profit with a lot of other people. Keen.com victims. Maybe there ought to be an online support group.
You used the term "bashers" - that's indicative of an attitude at Keen.com which is deceptive and heartless. The fact that it turned on you, and you were hurt from it is karma.
The people you label "bashers" are hurt, just like you were hurt by Keen.com deception - and even if you think the one stars you got were from"bashers", you really ought to apply a little humility and empathy. You're a flawed human being like everyone else is, and maybe the so-called bashers experienced the part of you that is flawed and deceptive, and that reached them where they already hurt and needed real help.
To judge and label them as "bashers" is repeating the very cold-heartedness and victimization you decry in your report, here. and especially surprising when you've experienced similar hurt.
Part of your healing and growth will be to empathize more, and to never again think it's okay to charge vulnerable people over the phone for "help", exploiting pain and fear to get a payday.
The fact that you stayed with Keen 15 years, doing that, means you have a lot to work thriough. And maybe you have an inuitive gift that can be used to actually help people with out sucking money form them, but you're going to need to do a lot of work to detox and clear your energy from your 15 years with Keen.
It sounds like you've started on a healthier path with potential for living truthfully and hapily. I wish you healing, and peace.
