Keesler Airforce base AAFES The exchange Sold a lawn mower that was recalled. Would not let me return the mower or honor the recall Biloxi Mississippi
On or about may/June 2013, I purchased A Troy built ride lawnmower. Prior to, I just returned from my deployment fr Afghanistan and during that deployment, paid my Start Card off in full. After 3 months and 10 belts later, I contacted the AAFES and told them I wanted to return the mower due to lack of performance. I have a 2 acre yard and I couldn't even get a quarter of one acre mowed before I smelled burning rubber, then the blade dies because it shredded the belt. These belts are about $40.00 each.
AAFES told me they were not responsible for the performance of the equip and that they will not honor a return. I later found out that there is a recall on the mower. I contacted AAFES again. Again, the manager said that the recall is not honored and to find and authorized Troy built dealer. Oh, I found one. This "authorized" dealer was operating out of his back yard in what looks to be a meth trailer. Thanks but no thanks.
I want to return the d**n mower and get my refund. This is poor, inexcusable, unprofessional and just flat out horrible service To the vets, active, reserve and spouses.
