After being ripped off, my mom and I went to a lawyer for help. He charged her $500 to write a letter to the company that ripped her off and stated that we have a case and will get the money back for her in court.
He sent us a copy of the letter and stated he would go to a certain court house to pursue the case, and he would contact us when he gets a court date.
He later sent us a letter asking what we want him to do after recieving a letter in response to his letter from the company we complained about. So we responded we want to pursue it and go to court to get our money back from the company.
We still never got a court date and I telephoned him several times on several different occasions and had no decency to respond. Finally we went there and confronted him, asking what is happening with the court case, and he denied ever saying he would take it to court, and everything else. He told us the statute of limitations isn't over and we can get help somewhere else.
How rude and unprofessional is he, as if he just took her money too and ran. No decency to even answer us back, just to ignore us. So mom lost faith in ever getting her money back or even trying from the bad company,she needed a lawyer to do it, and she can't even trust them.
So my 85 year old mom on SSI and retirement has a total loss of $3,648.95 from the Creative Fireplace store and from the Liar; Lawyer.
