Keiser Online University is extorting me. I signed up for online classes and I got to orientation when I fell seriously ill and had to be hospitalized, and was then unable to attend at all. After notifying them of the situation, they stated that I owed them $2,131.54 for having been enrolled for a total of 8 calender days. No financial aid or scholarship will pay a college or university a dime for 8 days of attendance, or for anything that is less than even 30 days of attendance, yet Keiser somehow believes that just by being enrolled that a student owes them something, which is not a nominal fee, but a tremendous amount like hundreds of dollars. That is a scam. I was attending through the state vocational rehabilitation program, which denied them payment of any amount, yet Keiser has informed me that either they will get their exorbitant $2200 payment or that they would place my account into collections and ruin my credit. Avoid this scam of a university at all costs. Even after having reported this to the Florida State AG's Office for being a scam, the Florida AG's Office is covering for this place, even though no one who has ever attended a college or a university can attest that any money is owed to any educational institution after only enrolling and attending orientation, which is why no financial aid on this earth would pay such a silly, ludicrous charge.
