DO NOT USE KEITH J. BROWN OR HIS COMPANY, REAL FREEDOM NOW, LLC.

In the spring of 2010, Keith J. Brown ("Brown") contacted me about partnering with him on the purchase of some distressed properties.  He told me to pay a realtor, Joanne S. Parker, two payments of $1,000 on two properties.  He said he'd negotiate the short sale offers and we would split the proceeds after acquiring and selling them.  He also said that he would make sure that he would protect the earnest money that I had paid.

In June of 2010, it became clear to me that Brown had no intention on buying the properties and that he had put my earnest money in jeopardy.  I emailed him and asked that he substitute his own money for the earnest money deposits so that the realtor could refund my money in full.  At first, he ridiculed me and then he agreed to do so.  He sent an email to Ms. Parker on June 30, 2010, stating he would do so.

After 2 1/2 months, I emailed him since he never did as he said he would.  I've emailed him recently and he refuses to pay.  I lost $1,500 because of him and, what is worse, is that he refuses to honor his word and reimburse me.  (I would have lost the full $2,000 except for the fact that the realtor, Joanne S. Parker, did agree to refund only $500 of the $2,000 I paid.)

My advice is if you're a homeowner trying to sell your home and he contacts you, do not do business with this man.  Same thing if he wants to partner with you on real estate transactions.  Don't do it.

DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH KEITH J. BROWN OR REAL FREEDOM NOW, LLC - I HAVE THE PROOF

#3Author of original report

Here are 4 points:
1.  You can always tell if a person has no legitimate defense because they will personally attack the other person rather than address the issue.  In this case, Keith Brown resorts to such tactics by characterizing me as having "pyschotic rants" (a personal attack).
2.  He invested none of his own money so his statement that "we both lost" is inaccurate.  He lost nothing.
3.  The bottom line is that he agreed to refund my money on June 30, 2010 in the below email to Joanne S. Parker on the same date.  Look at his statement in bold.  That was 4 months ago.  He has never paid me and when I reminded him of his statement and our agreement, he viciously attacked me in subsequent emails.
4.  Notice that Mr. Brown calls me a "fool."  In response, I offer the following:

Matthew 5:22  Whosoever shall say, Thou fool, shall be in danger of hell

fire.

I told him I could not/would not send him a check directly. I had previously emailed same to him then he called. Clearly a release has to be drafted eliminating any claims he may think he may have as to any of the three properties, I have to send you the money and then in turn he would have to execute the releases and sign the recepit for any return from your office.

I have no idea what kind of a trick bag he has gotten himself into. Yes he knew about the split and I know not only did I tell him personally, but will be able to track down the email stating same. Really did not have the time for this foolishness, but will make the time. As such, this will just delay clearing this up.

Will get the release prepared and forwarded with the earnest money, but I'll do it when I get to it and not on his timetable. He knew what was up and now is backtracking. ______________ has proven to be a liar and a fool and will treat the situation accordingly with all safeguards in place.

#3REBUTTAL Individual responds

Sun, November 14, 2010

All short sale transactions are speculative at best. Anonymous, who for sake of civility, I will not identify lost three of his own properties through foreclosure, one easily could have been sold but he refused to allow showings. He took advantage of a measured risk, personally inspected the properties and chose to engage in the joint venture with a 50/50 split on any proceeds upon a successful turn. I would encourage anybody to contact the realtor mentioned for full details of the pattern of threats, rants and borderline psychotic behaviors.

Any business venture is a gamble and in this case we both lost out. It happens. As you can see I have no issue in putting my name out. The same cannot be said about this individual.
