On Nov 4, 2010 I went looking for that so called:  "Unbelieveable deal" advertised on one of their commercials.  Well.... I got an UNBELIEVEABLE DEAL alright.  I bought a 2010 Highlander and gave my 2009 Camry in trade in that I had bought in 2008.  They told me this wasn't enough and that I had to give them $800.00 dollars on top of the trade in.  Stupid me, I did.  Charged it on my credit card.

After everything was said and done I WAS PROMISED a 5.6% and GAP insurance.  I was told everything was good and signed the papers.  I was also told by their Finance Manager that if something was to come up they would quote:  "COME UP WITH THE MONEY" and that I was not to worry.

To my surprised about a week later I get a phone call from the dealership asking me to go there because there was an "issue" with the finance papers.  Come to find out the bank did not approve the deal and the Finance Manager told me I needed to pay them $4,000.00 dollars in order for the deal to go thru.  They also wanted to raise my monthly payments.  ARE YOU KIDDING ME???!!!  I thought you would "COME UP WITH THE MONEY"  HUUUUHHH??!!!! My wife was with me and absolutely refused to give Keith Pierson another dime.  Needless to say she was pissed about the whole thing right from the beginning (I went by myself to buy the car) and she told them to simply take the truck back.  Of course they didn't want to do that.

Ultimately they ended up changing my papers so that the monthly payments could stay almost the same not before they insisted on trying to get the four thousand dollars from me.  With much regret they had no other choice but to come up with the $4,000.00 themselves.  They also took the GAP insurance away.  LIARS, LIARS, LIARS!!!

OH!!!! after this happened they called me back again.  Asking me to go down there because there was some lady that wanted to talk to me.  Are you serious????!!  I own two toyotas but after this fiasco I WILL NEVER BUY A TOYOTA AGAIN.

Listen Keith Pierson STOP CALLING MY HOUSE.  Go curl up in your pretty mansion while you keep RIPPING OFF customers who's only mistake is stopping at your dealership looking for that "UNBELIEVABLE DEAL"

People BEWARE, do not buy ANYTHING from Keith Pierson Toyota.  They don't care about you.  They only care about MAKING MONEY even if it means ripping you off in the process!!!

NotSoHappy, I completely understand how you feel and you CAN group the majority of Toyota dealerships....

together, because most of them are owned & operated by some of the most corrupt and shady people in the country, in my opinion.

Even the 3rd largest Automotive Dealer Group in the USA has been exposed on National television for the way that they operate when selling vehicles.

You can 'Google' this- CAR SALES: TRICKS OF THE TRADE- CONSUMER ALERT, and watch how a Ford dealership, owned by Sonic Automotive, operated when selling a car to a young woman named Tori.
(That segment appeared on Dateline NBC in December of 2003.)

Sonic Automotive was also exposed by 9NEWS in Denver, Colorado, in a 3-Part Series in May of 2005. Employees at one of their dealerships, Don Massey-Pontiac-Buick-GMC, said that they had 'blank credit applications' signed along with the one filled out by the customer, in case the customer's application wouldn't be approved by the bank.

One woman stated that the application that the dealership sent to the bank was not the one she filled out and it showed that she worked at another company making more money than she really did. I believe the credit application stated that she was a manager for Sears, but she said that she never worked for Sears and she was a secretary and a teacher all her life.
(I made a copy of the article which was available at the 9NEWS website.)

In short, someone at the dealership FALSIFIED her credit application in order to make the deal go through. The name of the dealership was Don Massey Pontiac-Buick-GMC, which is no longer owned by Sonic Automotive.

Perhaps Sonic Automotive was forced to sell the dealership due to all the bad publicity, huh?

P.S. You can 'Google' this- COUNTRYWIDE WHISTLEBLOWER REPORTS LIAR LOANS, and watch that on the web also. It's just further proof of how the U.S. economy operates in many instances, wouldn't you agree?

WELCOME TO AMERICA- A LAND WHERE 'LIAR LOANS' KEEP OUR ECONOMY HUMMING

I fully understand your complaint against Keith Pierson, but you cannot group all of Toyota into one category because of one dealership.  I am in no way connected to the dealership.  From what I have read you have a legitimate complaint against the finance department.  You can try to contact Keith directly which probably won't resolve the issue.  He isn't going to voluntarily take money out of his back pocket unless you press the issue hard enough even then it's doubtful.  You may want to call S.E.T. (Southeast Toyota) finance department and file a complaint with them.  Ken Milhorn at one time was the area manager for all Toyota dealerships in the immediate area.  Contacting them might put pressure on Pierson to respond to your complaint.s  The main issue you have is: A) KP is 90% owned by Terry Taylor which he owns some of the largest Toyota dealerships in the Southeast US including Toyota of Atlanta and I believe Al Hendricks Toyota in Miami; B) KP himself owns 10%; C) Arlington or Coggin Toyota would have been a much better option.  Joe Macguire is at Coggin and Joe Kozil is over at Arlington.  Neither would have given you this much hassle, ever!

You still have time to go to S.E.T.; and seek their assistance. I suggest that you go through the higher channels to get KP to respond.  I would let him know that you have put a complaint against him on ripoffreport.com and also alert him to my posting as well.  He will realize that someone who is very knowledgeable about the process and all three dealerships has posted this blog.

Best of luck!
