Complaint Review: Keith Thompson Professional Detailing

There seems to be a consistent bait and switch scam this business is undertaking. My wife purchased a Groupon for me for an exterior and interior car detail. I made the appointment with the owner, Keith Thompson, who said the earliest date he had available was for three weeks. 

When I showed up for my appointment, my car was looked for a couple seconds and, without blinking an eye, James (rep) told me there would be an extra charge. The extra charge would raise the price to a normal detail. The owner, Keith Thompson, was defensive and argumentative when I asked him which cars did not qualify for an extra charge. 

The Groupon states that only oversized vehicles were subject to extra charge. My car is compact and was in relatively clean condition. 

After writing a review on Yelp I realized that I was not the only victim of this scam. It seems everyone who has purchased a coupon has been subject to this same game. It not only made me feel very uncomfortable having different expectations for my service, but also the manner in which I was disrespected by the owner, Keith Thompson.

This is unprofessional and needs to stop. Not how a business should be allowed to run.
