Complaint Review: Keller Williams Realty And Anastasia Halikas.

Keller Williams Realty And Anastasia Halikas. Anastasia Halikas was hired to sell my home in Pleasant Hill, after 6 months there was an offer. The buyers backed out, one offer came in after that contract and I was informed by Ms. Halikas to ignore it because it was not a good offer at 100% financeing. When Halikas called me with the news of the first offer backing out I decided I wanted to take the home off the market for a while and wait. Walnut Creek California

The contract with Ms. Halikas and myself was over by the time the offer had fallen through. She told me she still had a backup deal, but this was the deal she had told me to ignore because it was 100% financeing and it wasn't any good. I thought that was the last of my dealing with her.

Ms Halikis then had her attorneys write me a letter for commission of $49,000.00 owed to her for all the work she alledged she preformed.

Mediation was conducted with my attorney and Ms. Halikas's high powered attorney and a retired juged, by the way Ms. Halikas was a former proscecuter for the DA's office. She prevailed and she settled for $8,750.00. plus I have to pay attorney fees and the mediator fees.

I had no chance in the case. Had I not settled I would have taken the chance of going to court and paying out much more money.

I feel Ms. Halikas does not deserve a dime, she did no work to get the home sold, she was late to open house, I had to put her signs out, I even gave her the pictures for her flyers. She insisted she put out $5,000.00 on her efforts. (she could not produce any receipts).
Bottom line is watch who you deal with. If you don't like their work or the offer they bring to you for your home you may be sued for not accepting, even if tht contract is over. Also the backup offer that Ms. Halikas says I needed to accept was the deal she had told me to ignore in the first place, which I did. Had she told me she would be entitled to her commission if I didn't take the deal I might have gone ahead with it. This also points out that you need to get a realtor that will inform you on everything. How you find people to trust in this buisness is the hardest part. She was referred to me by an attorney that knows her from his church, how ironic, dishonest people go to church too!
