The assistant manager Mr. Jackson interviewed me with Mr. Rivera and was hired immediately. Mr. Jackson is in charge of training, my self and another employee under his direction. Within 4 days of employment April 8 2013, Mr. Jackson was verbally making flirting comments towards me; asking "if I like dark chocolate men"?, Mr. Jackson made comments saying " I am not married we just live together and people do get separated if the right person comes along, with a wink and a smile directing at me. I ignored the gesture', I did not reply nor comment, and continued to perform my work duties in a professional manor. Mr. Jackson had made threats to other employees and shown by coming to me with a receipt of payment from the customer that had a $5.00 tip left for another server, Mr Jackson said "this is what happens if you leave your receipt book at the table unattended", he showed me the receipt and crumbled it as he walked off I could not believe my eyes as I watched Mr Jackson throw the receipt in the near by trash can at the bar. By the fourth night (midnight) I received a few text messages to my phone from Mr. Jackson with a picture of himself asking me not to be shy, implying that we are both old school saying "if I know where he is coming from", ( 3 smile faces, :) :) :)  . When I did not reply after 21 minutes Mr Jackson sent another text "Good Night", in 4 minutes, after not replying, Mr. Jackson sent another text asking " Can I get a picture of you" again I did not reply.  I felt awkward going back into work not knowing what to do about this situation, the only thing I know is how to be professional. Within Five days of that happening, I was off work for two days and we had a mandatory meeting that coming Saturday morning, the owner of the restaurant was present. I was advised to speak with him directly about this situation to have it resolved. The owner had me meet him at a cafe to discus marketing for his restaurant and I felt that opportunity was perfect to discuss this situation. The owner appeared shocked and discusseded and announced to fire Mr. Jackson immediately but instead only discussed with him. In the same week I spoke with Mr. Rivera about the problem and I had to write a report. During conversation a few of the female servers noticed I was going through a difficult time by Mr. Jackson not allowing anyone to assist me or work with me, in fact he has one off the clock server stay at a both and watch me along with him, as I worked, and then he let one employee off the clock and two others on break (Minr. Jackson increased my work responsibilities, and had me work a full hour at 5pm in the restaurant covering 27 tables inside and patio guest. Luckily I had six guest and one employee came to work early and jumped in to help with out approval. A few existing servers came to me about Mr.Jackson and how he had sexually harassed a few other good employees that had quit and the ones that stayed felt as if they had no choice because he apparently is not going to be terminated for such. After two weeks, I come to realize what kind of game is being played in this work environment. I walked away with my pride and from Mr. Jackson humoring him self any further.
