Kemba Credit Union Mathmatical inconsistency between balance sheet and pending charges Whitehall Ohio
I had on my balance sheet from Kemba a charge for gas that clearly showed money in the account. Their overdraft fee then cascaded to three other small charges. When I contacted a rep she told me that I had a "overdraft tolerance" amount of $350. I asked her if that had always been there and she said yes, however, I was never advised of that and asked her to lower it to $0 which she did. That was nice. However, she said the gas charge did not go through because I had other charges pending that reduced the available amount. So, basically what she said with that statement is the balance sheet is never going to be correct, because evidently the pending also includes their charges. So, I have a total of $128 that is due to basically their mathmatical formulation. Be aware. Even credit unions, like all companies under the wonderful Bush administration, are allowed to prey in oh so despicable ways, on their customers. Since when can't you go by a balance sheet?
