We had a horrible experience at this place in purchasing a vehicle. We specified the bank we were going through and were assured by 2 people that they had made contact and set up the loan. Our bank had never heard from them. They also told us their 3 types of warranties were required, not optional and that wasn't true. The finance person gave credit for the sale to a salesman we had never met or talked to. The percentage on the contract was wrong. Our bank has a referral agreement with this place and we were to go through Ken Garff West Valley's internet salesperson. We were told twice it had been taken care of, yet they never approached this individual. When I tried to talk to the finance person, he kept yelling at me and made it clear that he wanted nothing more to do with us.

The salesman who worked with us, James Jackson was wonderful, honest and patient. We went back the next day to see a different finance person, Mike who in no time fixed the contract and set it up through our preferred bank.

The floor manager on duty at the time we were there called and apologized for all the problems that we had in dealing with his staff.

Bottom line is, we will never trust Ken Garff West Valley and have no intention of ever going back there again.

Don't apply Good Faith to this Company Def 1-star only

I took the general manager's kind words to solve our problem in good faith. That was a mistake for two reasons.

1. I received a call from the first finance person who had caused the majority of the problems. This is after I requested that he never talk to me again, but he said he had a couple of questions. I assumed it was related to the transaction, but I was wrong. He only called to argue about my complaints against him, to try to intimidate me to change my story by saying he had our conversations recorded but I stood firm on what happened (when I told him to play the recordings, he wouldn't), and he had me on speaker phone. I have to guess he had someone listening in. I hung up on him.

2. 16 days later and this company still has not made the payoff on the car we traded in, even though on the date we bought the new car we gave them the 10-day payoff. The floor manager and the two finance people assured us it would be done within the 10-day parameter. Now we're receiving fees from the other bank. We called that bank and they assured us that once the payoff is received it would be documented but at this date they had not received it. Yet, Ken Garff in West Valley City, Ut has our trade-in car up for sale.

This is definitely a one-star company.

West Jordan,

kind letter from general manager

Today, Oct 5th, I received a most kind letter from the General Manager, Brian Vaughn apologizing for our bad experience. He has stated that he has talked to all parties involved so that this type of thing will not happen again. He has assured me that this is not how Ken Garff West Valley operates. I, in good faith, believe him and thanked him for taking the time to personally address my concerns.
