Ken Hollowell, who is the disgraced former CEO of LA Entertainment Works Inc., has continued to defraud investors and others after being ordered by the California Department of Consumer of Affairs to Desist and Refrain from illegally selling franchises and bogus stock offerings to potential investors. The order came from the Attorney General's office after Hollowell was reported by several individuals for non delivery of contractual obligations related to investments in his franchise sales. The order specifies that Hollowell is not registered under the California Franchise Investment Law and must cease all of his activities related to his fraudulent business practices. He has not done so.

Ken Hollowell has left a path of destruction over the years with his bogus franchise and stock offerings. Part of his scam involves issuing millions of shares of stock to investors at $1.00 per share not backed by any bank liquidity. To back of his claim of legitimacy, he falsely claims to investors that he received an award from the reputable and well established LA Music Awards for what he calls "Business Achievement". No such award has ever been given the producer's of this event.

According to Al Bowman, Founder / Executive Producer of the Los Angeles Music Awards, Hollowell signed a contract on December 6th, 2006 promising to pay him $150,000 for consulting services and to allow him to be CEO and form a Board of Directors to run the Los Angeles Music Awards. LA Entertainment Works Inc. was started and Bowman agreed to the written terms of the contract, but never received even $1.00 of the promised $150,000.

Instead Bowman was bullied, threatened and finally voted out of the company he founded by the board of directors formed by Hollowell. Bowman took Hollowell to court and won back his company in January of 2008. Hollowell has since relocated to Florida and is continuing to attempt to steal from investors. Beware of this man. He is 6'5", 240 lbs., bald and tries to use his size and girth to intimidate others.
