Kenmore/Sears Kenmore main control panel failure on two-year-old stove Internet
We purchased a gas range from our local Sears two years ago (Nov. 2010). It has performed fine until last week when the main control panel stopped working. A technician came and for $50 told me this was a common failure with these stoves. He indicated the matching Kenmore dishwasher we had bought at the same time and said the same thing would happen to it. Repair for the unit is $400. The stove cost about $700 new. Are major Kenmore appliances only good for two years?
