A few months ago I realized that the only time I ate meat was whenever I bought fast food. So I made the decision to become vegetarian- only to give in a couple months later when driving past a Kentucky Fried Chicken on my way to do some shopping. I gave into the chicken strips. Realizing I'd finished my water I brought along, I ordered chicken strips and a mountain dew at the drive through. Got my total, drove around.

I got the chicken and the man at the window took my money and said thank you... I mentioned that I hadn't yet gotten my drink. He said- well you didn't order a drink. So my response was, well I apologize if you didn't hear my say it, but I'd like a medium Mountain Dew. He said, sorry- you want a drink you have to drive back around and order it. Then I said, well fine, I guess I don't need the drink, I'll just take my change. He said no and slammed the window closed.

I would've asked to speak to the manager on duty- but he WAS the manager on duty.

Nobody was behind me, it was mid afternoon on Sunday so the place wasn't too busy since it's not a normal eating period. In retrospect, I should've sat there until other customers came and demanded my change at the least- preferrably the drink that I ALREADY HAD ORDERED. Such a lazy, rude way to conduct business. If you don't like your job, don't take it out on what used to be a very regular customer.

I'm now vegetarian for life and trying to get as many people to give up KFC as possible. I realize vegetarianism isn't for everyone, but there's plenty of other chicken options out there other than KFC. They owe me .62 plus interest and until the manager comes to my door with the money + lost interest in addition to a sincere apology, I refuse to go back.

I hear you. I used to work for a garage in a rather busy area so everyday i'd skip out for lunch at either Wendys, KFC, Mcdonalds etc... I was once insulted at a McDonalds to the point I almost got out of my truck and cracked the kid behind the glass. I was sitting there waiting for my food and he sticks his head out the window and says "nice glasses" making a comment at my sunglasses. I wear a special sunglass because of an eye condition (they may look funny) but it helps me see better. I was insulted to the point that I NEVER EVER went to another mcdonalds after that. Some young punk kid insulting me like that.

With KFC I had a similar experience. I ordered a meal and didn't receive the correct change. Since fast food resturants don't give receipts (with the exception of a few) you have to do the math in your head. Well it wasn't hard for me to do the math in my head that the change I just got wasn't right. So I waited at the window until the employee came back to see why I was still sitting there and I advised him I didn't receive the correct change. He then said I did. I said I didn't and he said they'd have to recount the register. I said ok do what you have to do, im not leaving until I get my correct change. Sure enough they recount the drawer and find out they shorted me. Now I don't think fast food restaurants should always take the customers word on being 'short-changed' however they should advise their employees to handle situations better then treating people like this. Since then i've never used a KFC either.
