A friend of mine was getting ready to go on duty to be security for a New Year's Party 31 Dec 2006 and we decided to get something to eat because the restaurants were going to be closed the next day.

We have eaten here before with NO problems. I have a legitimate disabled permit and that is where we parled. Neither one of us is a very young person ---and I do not walk very well. I was unable to get out of the truck so my friend went in and brought my food back to me. He ate in the restaurant.

When he finished, He hel[ped me out of the truck so I could use the restaurant. The young folks behind the counter made some very cruel remarks but I went to the VERY FILTHY restroom anyway and then returned to the truck. My friend enjoyed his meal and he wanted to rest a bit before he went on-duty. I thought that was OK and I was checking out my laptop.

SUDDENLY, THERE WERE TWO AUSTIN POLICE OFFICERS WITH GUNS. The ladies at the Kentucky Fried Chicken had called them on us.Either they thought I was a Muslim terrorist because I had a large black beanie cap to cover my hair which is growing back (We have a Mosque in the same shopping center.)or they claimed that we were going to rob their restaurant.

The ;ady employees inside were laughing at us from inside the restaurant. We were still in our parking place --there were two disabled parking places and the other one was for the vans and more accessible than where we were. It was available. Nobody else was in the restaurant.

People were staring at us and it was very embarrassing. The cops could not understand why they had been called out since we were NOT wearing masks or black wool balaclavas and we were not armed and I had a law enforcement organization sticker on the back of the truck.

He took our information and went inside and the ladies inside all began to flirt with him. If they wanted to meet cops socially, why did they have to call in an obviously FALSE REPORT on two harmless people. They could see my disabled parking permit.

THEY WILL NOT GET ANY MORE OF MY BUSINESS AT THAT PLACE UNTIL THOSE TROUBLE-MAKING DRAMA QUEENS ARE NO LONGER THERE.

Maybe they don't want people who are over 40 as customers!

I am writing this to WARN PEOPLE IN AUSTIN,TEXAS TO USE CAUTION WHEN YOU EAT AT THIS PLACE~ PETA said they ALLEGEDLY ABUSE the chickens that they slaughter, fry and serve for eating here.

WHY DO THEY CALL THE COPS ON TWO UNARMED OLD PEOPLE?????

Maybe our vehicle wasn't a nice, brand new yuppie mobile and maybe we didn't look like RICH YOUNG YUPPIES!

I never said anything to them and neither did my friend after he gave the dinner order!

WHY?
Another day as usual in Austin,TX...

YOU LOST MY BUSINESS!

The vast majority of those "law enforcement" organizations that give out those stickers for donations ARE hugh ripoffs. I know of one that donates TWO PERCENT of the money it takes in from donations, the rest is eaten up in so called adminastration costs. You know like super bowl tickets and expensive vacations for administators. People find out where your money is going, don't be fooled by those stupid stickers.

The real ripoff and PETA allegations are true

The real ripoff is the friends of the police and other such crap stickers the cops give out to donors. They want you to think that if you get pulled over or need help the cop will go easy on you or give you extra help, because you are obviously a friend of the police. Absolute bull. Most of the cops scrutinize people who display such stickers harder because they suspect you are only displaying them to try to get out of tickets or avoid suspicion.
And it's true what PETA says about KFC. Bea Arthur says so, and I believe her!

I am sure that once the cooperate offices of KFC were made aware that you are the proud possessor of a "Law Enforcement" sticker they immediately set matters straight. I bet they were scared.

I Called Corporate...No More Problems

#9Author of original report

After I called the Corporate offices of the Yum Corporation, there were no further problems.

The last time we went to that Kentucky Friend Chicken, nobody was there from the original crew who had called the cops on us.

Seems one of the young ladies who had called the cops on us was just needing an excuse to meet cops because she was wanting one for a boyfriend. And she felt that playing the helpless, threatened little girl would bring out the chivarious nature of the cops to protect her from THOSE BAD,BAD PEOPLE!

And after you have played a little too much basketball and have a little too much arthritis, it's hard to move sometimes.

I sure hope the young lady found her police officer boyfriend.
She will probably be a happier blue groupie than fast food employee.

Problem has been resolved and everybody is happy now. The quality of the sodas has not improved though and PETA still pickets occasionally but life goes on.

Alright, why couldn't he help you out of the truck initially so you could go into the restaurant to eat? With you outside, and him inside, it could easily look like someone was casing the joint in order to rob it. And how are KFC the terrorists as alleged in your title?

And yeah, your "law enforcement sticker means nothing other than you made a donation to an organization or know someone in an organization. Does this sticker mean that you automatically "do no wrong ever"? I don't think so.

"MAKING DRAMA QUEENS ARE NO LONGER THERE"

Yes, as soon as you left, you were no longer there.

"I am writing this to WARN PEOPLE IN AUSTIN,TEXAS TO USE CAUTION WHEN YOU EAT AT THIS PLACE~ PETA said they ALLEGEDLY ABUSE the chickens that they slaughter, fry and serve for eating here."

Absolute hearsay and would certainly mean nothing unless you have undisputable truth.

Law Enforcement Stickert?

#9Consumer Comment

What does have a law enforcement sticker (probably some association sticker that you get by donating) have to do with anything?
