Kernersville Dodge - DON'T BUY HERE!!!!

I had a 2006 Raider truck that I traded for a 2000 Cadillac Deville. My kids got big and I needed something to get them in and out of. The Cadillac looked good and we agreed to a straight up trade. I told them there was some shaking and would need the tires balanced to ensure that was the problem. The dealership wanted to charge me $40.00 to balance the tires. Should of left right here but the nightmare continues. The tires were balanced and the shaking went away. I bought the car with what I thought was a full tank of gas. When I left dealership on my way home the car cut out and the check engine light came on. To say the least I was boiling hot. Im stuck in the middle of the street with cars coming off the freeway.

I called the dealership and they said well just try and start it in 5 minutes and if it doesn't start we will send someone to get you. Once I got my temper under control I said to my wife the gas gauge isn't full. I said there is a gas station about a quarter mile away Ill go buy a gas can and bring some gas back. I also most got hit trying to cross the busy intersection. Paid 15.00 for a gas can and put two gallons of gas in the car. When putting gas into the car a tractor trailer almost hit me and the car coming off the freeway. I got the gas into the car and let the dealership know not to send someone. I got the car home and tried to figure out what was wrong.

The next day I drove the car and the check engine light came on. What a mess now something else is wrong with this car. I went to autozone and had them print out the codes for me. Codes said something was wrong with the TCC and a engine misfire. I googled the codes and it the TCC is an expensive repair. I went to the dealership and told the manager that the car had issues and if they would take the car back. Manager says he would need to look the car over and see what they could do. I agreed and they gave me a car to drive. Two days went by and nobody called so I decided to check in. The service center had no idea what I was talking about and said they would call me back.

Service called back and said they replaced something in the fuel line and now the gas gauge would work. They also said the check engine lights were a cause of the broken gas gauge. I said I want to speak with the manager. I asked that he take the car back and he said no gas gauge works. I asked my wife to go get the car. They couldn't find the car and tried to give her another car that was in the service center. They did find the car and used all the gas I put in the tank. My wife brought the car home and the next day I drove car to work. The car just shuts off - electric everything.

Almost got rear ended. I was at work and sent an email of the situation. I did get a call back from the receptionist there to let me know she got my email and that a manager would call me. Its been two days no call. This place sells everything as is. So legally they will just sell you crap and stand behind that statement. Ethically - well they have no ethics. I asked that they take the car back give me what I traded and I would pick another car. I was going to drive this car back home for the holiday but how can I its a death trap. Hope I can save someone else from dealing with these people.

What Was The Deal?

Did you take this thing for a test drive BEFORE you bought it?  Secondly, did you get a warranty or did you buy it "AS IS"?  If you bought it "AS IS", why would you expect FREE warrany service?  Did the contract say you can bring the car back?  If not, why would you expect to be able to do that?  Anybody who has ever run out of gas has had to get a gas can, cross the street and try to put gas into the car along side the road.  The dealership doesn't control traffic, supply a gas can or have a taxi following you around in case you run out of gas.  No, I don't work for them.
