got my toyoya corolla 99 worked on May 23,2004. I was charged 95.00 for work done on the air conditioning system. They Installed o rings.

1 month later air conditioner quit cooling. I made an appoitment for 9am.

I dropped the car off, they asked when i would pick it up. I told them it would be 5pm.

I arrive at the shop at 5pm they said they haven't looked at the car yet.(why would i make appoitment if you are not going to look at the car.)

Well they finally look at the car, and told me 500.00 dollars to fix it this time. They said it needed a condensor and a new high sid line. I told them no!!

I took the car to my brother who has been a mechanic for 20years, who also is ase certifed in air conditioning! he put dye in the system, ran the a/c the took an ultraviolet light to check to see where the dye was leaking. guess what? It was leaking where Kerry Toyota put the o ring in. Hw put the car on the lift and ran the light on the condensor and compressor both lines, no other leaks.

So it seems that Kerry Toyota is trying to make a killing on the costmers by putting parts on you don't need!! alway get a second opion when spending that king of money on your car. especially from a dealer.

If your brother is "ASE certified in air conditioning", why did you take it to a dealer in the first place? That doesn't make sense unless you don't trust your brother's ability. If this is true, how can you use him as an expert reference against the work the dealership did?
I suspect there is more to the story than you are telling.
