Complaint Review: Kevin Andrews South Bay Music Awards

Kevin called our company, Messersmith Searchlights, and hired us for his event. We gave him a $200 discount for his event Saturday, November, 10, 2007, at the Redondo Beach Performing Arts Center, 1935 Manhattan Beach Blvd., Redondo Beach, CA 90278. The total bill for his event was $400. We went to Bank of America where his check was drawn on and they said there was no money on the account. From what I understand, there has not been money in the account for a long time and it is ready to go to collections. So if that is true, he knowingly and willfully wrote a bad check. We asked for a credit card for back up and that has been continually denied as we continue to try to charge it to this day. I called Kevin who said he thought the check went through (which I believe was a lie). He was very charming on the phone and asked me to send him a copy of the check which I did. He never got back to me or never returned calls.
