I received an email from Distintive Marketing located in Bridgeport Connecticut regarding a survey for Western Union and Money Gram. I was told that I would receive $400 for participating in this survey. Once I received the money I would receive further information. The checked came Fed Ex on March 25, 2008 in the amount of $5,000. I received an email from James Grant to go and cash the check and take out my $400 and split the check in half and send equal portion to Yvonnia Houston in San Franciso California. Once this was done, I was suppose to send the confirmed information back to James via email. I went to cash the check at the Bank it was drawn on and they refused to cash the check but wouldn't give me an specific reason. At that point I realize something must be wrong. I came home and sent an email to James letting him know that the check he sent me was a fraudulent check and please don't send anymore bad checks to me.
