Somewhere in the end of March/beginning of April, Kevin Gooslby told me that he was going through hard times because he could not find work. His lack of work caused him to be behind in rent, his gas cut off, and no food in his home. I bough him over $60 of groceries and we discussed a project he could do for me. I hired him for a project which consisted of him editing 4 pictures.I also left specific editing instructions. His advertised price on his facebook page said $200. After Kevin had taken the pictures, he had tried to charge me $500 for his services. When I explained to him that the price he was asking was absurd, he told me he needed $500 to catch up on bills and was wondering, as a friend, if I could give it to him because he was going through a hard time. I told him no. As a friend, I agreed to give him $350, which was $100 more than he advertised, because I was trying to be kind. I didn't appreciate his price gouging. He also advertised that his shoots would come with a makeup artist. This also didn't happen. I did my own make-up.

He tried to show me one working he was working on. The editing was horrible and he didn't adhere to my specific editing request. It looked like he spent 2 seconds editing that photo.

I asked him how long it would take to return my (4) pictures he was supposed to edit. He replied it would take one week. It is now April 20th. Twice when I have asked about the pictures he responded "You will get them tomorrow" It never happened.

Now he doesn't pick up his phone at all. He also doesn't respond to any method of contact that I try to reach him though. (ie yahoo instant messenger) Kevin has given me one excuse and lie after the other. I foolishly gave him all his money, in cash, upfront to never hear from him again. I tried to resolve this dispute with him amicably to no avail

Facts

Once again, your facts make no sense.

One: you never hired me to do a website, wrong person.

Two: One second you say you stopped modeling and then you said you were, which one is it?

Three: Why in the hell would I ask you to buy me a computer when I have plenty of them and you saw them the last time you were here when you shot. Make up your mind on which lie you want to tell.

I posted those pics to show the FACTS of this so-called case that you made up because you wanted more than what you paid for with these false prices and facts. I have more facts than this but I didn't want to completely embarrass you but if you wanna keep going, Lets go!

I thought about whether or not to respond to you all day. Part of me thought it has been over a year....just let it go. The other part of me is baffled and feels a need to ask why, after a year, did you decide to respond now? With this response of yours, you include slanderous and false information. I won't put out there how you used to BEG me to buy you photography lights and Mac books so that your photos could be better. Money has never been an issue for me and as a friend, if i could help you, I did. You on the other hand have always been the starving artist. You Are the one with disconnected electricity and no food in your home. So i figure you wrote a rebuttal because you feel as though I attacked your livelihood....so I understand. Absolutely no love lost. I am woman enough to say at I could have handled this differently, especially because we were friends. I was hurt and angry, though. You never had to chase me for money, like some of your clients, yet I was always the one you treated substandard. My pictures were always late...months late. Remember when i paid you to do a website? After almost a year, you only completed one page and it was bad work. I had to spend days creating the subpages that YOU were supposed to do. As for our last shoot, I had already quit modeling. I just had my son and was trying to focus on being a mom. I knew you needed the money and thought it would be fun to do a creative shoot. My body wasnt at its best...i just had my son. So, as a professional, you only make yourself look bad by posting those pictures. I dont mind telling the world you are one of the dopest and most creative photographers I have ever worked with. Unfortunately, your personality and ethics haven't caught up to your talent. When it does, you will be dangerous. So now you have posted a rebuttal slandering your client. Now other potential clients will read what you wrote and ask themselves if you will do the same thing to them. In an effort to defend yourself, you made yourself look small. You are right...people need to watch who they trust. Lesson learned. I wish you well.

Beware of so-called friends

This report is 100% false because of the way it is alot of personal facts mixed with business facts. This person came to me asking for a photo shoot and wanted it at 30% of my regular rate, I agreed to the shoot because she was a friend that hung out with me on several occasions and raided my fridge and life. When her men were beating on her and abusing her, she came to me for comfort. She came to me asking for $1,000 photo shoot for $200 and I only did this shoot because she was a friend and she want the full treatment of a full paying clients which I explained she wasn't paying for. There was no advertisement on facebook or any other site for $200 for a photo shoot and all of the images she wanted edited with specific details of making her look 60 lbs smaller.

Now in this report she said, "I agreed to give him $350, which was $100 more than he advertised" but she also says, "His advertised price on his facebook page said $200" so now we know this is a lie because she can't even get her so called facts right.

As far as $60 worth grocery, that is true because she brought that to my house without notice because she had to spend that from her food stamp card. And I had no warning or heads-up on that was coming because she just showed up at the front door with it and I didn't refuse free food (from what I thought).
